Step 1: When a fall is detected, the primary carer receives an instant push notification with full incident details — time, room, and severity assessment.

Step 2: If the primary carer doesn't acknowledge the alert within a configurable timeframe (default: 3 minutes), the system automatically escalates to co-carers in a pre-defined sequence.

Step 3: Each co-carer in the chain receives the same detailed notification. The escalation continues until someone acknowledges and responds.

Step 4: All responses and timelines are logged in the app's incident report, providing a complete audit trail for care coordination.

Configuring Your Escalation Chain

In the Vitara CarePilot app, families can customise their escalation chain through the Notification Settings screen. You can add multiple co-carers — adult children, neighbours, professional carers — and set the order and timing of escalations.

The system is designed to be flexible. Some families set tight 2-minute windows for immediate escalation. Others prefer a longer 5-minute window before involving secondary contacts. The choice is yours.
